To become a yoga instructor in India a PG Diploma in yoga after graduation from a recognised institution is the minimum qualification required. However, a certificate course in yoga is meant for only basic and foundation knowledge in yoga.

Both are good. I think that for becoming a director, more than your qualification, your creativity matters. You should have a good sense of people's emotions, wants, and opinions. You should think out of the box.
As such, in my opinion, a certification course can give you many new opportunities.
