As comparing these colleges, overall Punjab university is better in the infrastructure, facilities and course fee. But in case of placements UIET has better placements. For MBA at UIET Chandigarh, candidates will require a minimum score of 50% in the Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The bachelor's degree can be in any discipline. If the university from where you got your Bachelor's degree gives an aggregate grade instead of marks, then that grade should be equivalent to 50% marks. 

UIET also accepts CAT score for MBA.

UIET Chandigarh accepts B.Tech admission as per JEE Main score followed by JAC Chandigarh Counseling. JAC Chandigarh 3rd round of seat allotment has been released. University Institute of Engineering and Technology is a public institute, established in 2002 and is approved by AICTE.

UIET Chandigarh's 2023 JEE Main cutoff marks for B.Tech are expected to range from 22,200 to 25,200th rank for the general category and 30,100 to 35,200th rank for the OBC category. The overall cutoff for GATE is 232–321 marks. 

To be eligible for admission, you need to secure at least 60% marks in Class XII, including 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Admissions are based on rank in JEE (Main) through JAC Chandigarh counseling.
