UIET Chandigarh admissions are ongoing for BE and ME courses. The institute selects candidates for BE admission on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main 2025 followed by JAC Counselling. For lateral entry, PULEET is conducted by the university for admission. UIET selects aspirants for ME/ M.Tech courses based on GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also get admission based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) is an engineering college affiliated with Panjab University. The institute is recognised by the AICTE and located in Chandigarh. Yes, UIET Chandigarh offer direct entry to second year of BE course. Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum three or two years duration with Physics and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD) to apply for BE (LE). Aspirants who have completed DVoc stream from Polytechnic college with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ST/BC/PwD) can also apply.

UIET Chandigarh offers four-year BE course divided into eight semesters. The institute offers BE in different specialisations. Below is BE eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must pass Class 12 or equivalent with five subjects, namely Hindi, English, Punjabi or any other language and Physics, Mathematics or any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject to apply for UIET BE.
- Aspirants who have completed Class 10 followed by Diploma with Mathematics as compulsory subject can also apply.

Aspirants need to fill out the PULEET application form for BE (Lateral Entry). Aspirants applying for BTech must first fill out the JEE Main application form followed by JAC Counselling. The registration cum counselling fee of JAC Delhi is INR 1,500. The fee can be paid in any of the following ways: By Credit/ Debit Card/Internet Banking through Bill Desk Payment Gateway.

As per the UIET Chandigarh, cutoff for Round 4 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged from 44170 to 146444. The most competitive specialisation has been Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 44170, followed by Information Technology with 53185 rank.
