Chandigarh University made its first entry in the Research category in NIRF 2025 and secured 34th rank in India among all the universities in India. Yes, Chandigarh University has maintained considerable consistency in NIRF 2025. In the overall list, it is at 32, exactly the same as the previous year. In the university category, it is at 19, moving one step up from 20 in 2024. This shows a steady rise without big falls. Engineering has moved from 32 to 31. Management improved its position from 36 to 32. From the field of Pharmacy, there was a rise from 20 to 15. The field of Architecture remained the same,14 this year and 13 last year.

Yes, CU is ranked 15th in India for Pharmacy in overall category in NIRF 2025 and is also among the top 10 private pharmacy institutes in the country, standing 9th among private institutions and #2nd in Punjab among the private institutions. The university made a jump of 5 ranks as compared to last year.
