The main programme at Chandigarh University is the B.Tech/ B.E. During the Chandigarh University admissions process, computer Science is chosen by more than 35% of the students. The institution has 18 departments that provide more than 200 traditional and online courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. In addition, the Chandigarh University Institute of Distance and Open Learning is the provider of distance learning courses.

Candidates should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. They must also have studied Mathematics and Physics in class 12.
