Dear reader,

Lovely Professional University (LPU) explicitly accepts JEE Main scores as a primary merit-based pathway for direct admission into B.Tech. Chemical Engineering. Eligible candidates with valid JEE Main percentiles bypass the mandatory LPUNEST entrance exam while unlocking substantial merit scholarships.

Yes, Pune has several good private engineering colleges that accept MHT CET scores even if your JEE rank is not very high. Colleges like Symbiosis Institute of Technology and MIT-WPU are popular choices. Admissions are mostly based on state-level entrance exams. So a low JEE score does not mean you have to compromise on quality.

Yes indeed, there are many private colleges in Jaipur accepting candidates with low and no JEE scores. Like Poornima University, JECRC University and Jaipur National University are few of the private colleges accepting candidates with low JEE scores. But for Government MNIT, you need a good JEE main score. So even if your score is low you are definitely above par in Jaipur.

Yes, Heritage Institute of Technology does accept JEE Main score for admission to its BTech programme. The institute releases separate cutoffs for JEE-based admissions. However, only 10% of the BTech intake is filled via JEE. The majority of seats (80%) are through WBJEE. Remaining 10% are for management quota.

Engineering Degree vs Diploma mainly differs in depth, duration, and career scope. A Diploma in Engineering (like Civil Engineering) is usually 3 years after 10th and focuses more on practical skills, helping you start working earlier in technician or junior roles. A Degree (B.Tech/BE) is 4 years after 12th and gives deeper theoretical + technical knowledge, which opens better long-term growth, higher positions, and more opportunities in private and government sectors. If you want quicker entry into the job market, Diploma is a good start, especially in fields like Civil Engineering where site work and practical exposure matter a lot. Well, having been a follower of the engineering college scene going on for some time in Haryana and Delhi-NCR, I feel that the “best” college really depends on the students' personality and what they precisely want to achieve after they come out of engineering.

Some students are looking for Government colleges' prestige and ROI, while some are interested in good infrastructure, exposure in the industry and specialisation in the private colleges.

There are some very good Reputed Government colleges in Haryana which are very well known among the engineering students like NIT Kurukshetra, YMCA Faridabad, DCRUST Murthal, IIIT Sonepat, MD
