Hello Shubhanshu,
You have completed your degree in chemical engineering and you are interested in doing a course in food preservation etc. Yes this definitely appears to be a very good course to expand your horizon and also increase your employability. Food processing industry in India is bound and set to increase exponentially in the coming years in India. With your chemical engineering background you will be the most suitable person to enter into this field as an employee of some company or you can even think of starting your own company in the field of preservation of horticulture products.
Best wishes to you.

Hello Shubham, At least in India, chemical engineering has much more potential for job as compared with aeronautical engineering. Job prospects for aeronautical engineering core jobs is restricted to perhaps ISRO or DRDO. On the other hand, for chemical engineers plenty of companies give employment. Best wishes.

Chemical Engineering has lot of diverse applications in various process industries, oil and gas, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, polymers etc. Coming to Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM), the department offers several electives which are industrially relevant. The department has facilities such as Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility (SAIF) and High Performing Computing Environment (HPCE) for conducting research. The department also offers lab courses to students to learn sof

According to your question, it looks like you want everything quick and fast. Well, chemical engineering is a good option. While applying for private institute you have yo be careful have a research regarding placement. If you get selected in campus interview then there is no need for you to run here and there for a job. In case you don't get placed then you have options like Reliance, Asian paints, IOCL, Shell, Total, Petrobras, etc. You have to apply on your own which is a bit long process. IITs are the premium institutions of our country and yes, it is good to pursue chemical engineering from there. Chemical Engineering is one of the newest branches of engineering and hence has less competition as compared to other branches.
