So you have two options:
If you are interested in doing job right after your graduation, you should start appearing for the job interviews.
If you are willing to do PG you can go for M.Tech or MS.

You must remember a lot of equations, formulae , and their uses, advantages and disadvantages. There will be a lot of theory part. you must know them from time to time. I personally know many students who started with chemical engineering or bio technology ended up in either software or in management field. Jobs available only for chemical engineers are quite low as compared to other departments. You must choose wisely before you proceed. it might cost you four years of life.

Chemical Engineering is a branch of science that applies physical sciences (physics and chemistry) and life sciences (microbiology and biochemistry) together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use chemicals, materials and energy. It is a niche engineering branch with lot of job opportunities. Majority of job opportunities will be large chemical factories of PSU & MNC and design firms. Chemical engineers are employed by Petrochemical companies also.

It depends on which IIT, you need to be in top people in your category. It's a little bit difficult for old IIT's. Year by year the total marks for JEE Advanced paper is changing. I say you need to get around 3-10% of total marks for old IIT's.
