In terms of chemical engineering, Chandigarh University is an awesome place to study. The department owns some major, elegant laboratories for doing experiments to comprehend things happening in real time.

Faculty members encourage students to write research papers and join mini-projects, encouraging them to attend seminars and present papers. On the skills development side, industry talks, seminars, and extra courses are organized. They offer quite strong placement support, with associations with the likes of industries in paints, fertilizers, energy, and manufacturing.

The curriculum is robust and flexible to integrate cont

If you have a lot of interest in the Chemical Engineering and want to get specialised research knowledge you can take up an MTech degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields like Biochemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering etc. or an MS degree abroad.

You can also switch to an MBA degree if you wish to transition into managerial roles within the tech field. Also PhD in Chemical Engineering could be a good fit for those interested in research and development and academia.

The BTech Chemical Engineering syllabus is different for every college on the basis of their syllabus guidelines and unique coursework approach. The syllabus usually has core subject modules, specialised program electives, lab classes, project work and internships.

When it comes to the mandatory core subjects there is no such scope for customization because of the foundational knowledge they provide but you can choose the elective subjects on the basis of your interests and passions allowing some room for customization.

Chemistry is all about the scientific knowledge of matter at a molecular level. It makes sense of their reactions for the creation of new products, while Chemical Engineering focuses on applying that very knowledge for the design and optimization of industrial chemical processes and products like chemicals, drugs, and foods. In simple words, Chemistry deals with the Science behind the products, while Chemical Engineering focuses on how to produce those products on a large scale.
