I am afraid your 45% in the qualifying exam of class 12th will turn out to be your undoing. The eligibility conditions states that the general category students must obtain at least 50% marks in the class 12th examination. However, I would like to advise you that engineering is not the end of life. There are plenty of other courses available under any university and which are equally good as far as the career is concerned. You must choose subject and stream of graduation about which you have fascination or you like it greatly. This will help you lessen the stress for studies and will start enjoying it and it will definitely result in you getting very good marks in the examination of selected stream. Best wishes to you.

Syllabus for the exam varies. Candidates will need to study relevant subjects of course/specialization which they are opting for. The level of questions will also differ according to the course which a candidate is opting. Course Subjects:
1. M.Sc. In Chemical Sciences -General Science, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry.
2. M.Com General Knowledge, Socio-Economic Environment, English, Data Interpretation, Reasoning, Mathematics
3.) PG Diploma in Tourism Management-English, Reasoning and General Knowledge
4.) MCA-English, Reasoning and Computer Science
5. M.A. Sociology-General Knowledge and Socio-Economic issues
6.)B.Tech-Physics, Chemistry, English, Mathematics/Biology
7. M.A. In Cultural Studies-General Knowledge and Elementary knowledge of cultural activities of India (with more emphasis to be laid on North East)
