Cut-off marks depend on the number of candidates appeared for that particular exam. When the number of seats is fulfilled by candidates, that particular score is declared as "Cut-off Marks" and it varies for different categories according to reservation system of India.

Hello Manskh,
The NET Exam is organized for the lectureship in university and the JRF Award candidature. The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are conducted for the different stream candidates in different subjects. The candidates who have completed the post graduation degree from recognised university with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply for the NET Exam. Candidates are allowed to apply in their post graduation or its related subjects. As you have completed the M.Ed. (post graduation) in maths, you can apply for the CSIR NET mathematics.

APSET 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates should have secured minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Masters degree or equivalent exam from any university/college that is recognised by UGC. Aspirants belonging to reserved categories such as OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PwD are eligible to apply if they have secured minimum 50% aggregate in their Masters degree or equivalent exam. In Chemistry, qualifying marks for General Category students are 14.79 and 7.39 for SC/ST/PWD. For Chemistry Paper of IIT JAM 2018. In Mathematics, qualifying marks for General Category are 23.35 and 11.68 for SC/ST/PWD. Based on IIT JAM Result 2018, candidates will be admitted to institutes if they fall in above eligibility then you are eligible.
