The National Testing Agency has been allotted the responsibility to conduct the Common University Entrance Test CUET entrance exam. After clearing the CUET students can get admission to reputed colleges and universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University. Delhi University made CUET mandatory for the academic year 2022-23. Banaras Hindu University, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Islamia University and many more prestigious universities are already part of CUET and accept CUET scores to fill spots on various courses.

Yes, some universities do not come under CUET but other universities Punjab University have not adopted CUET 2022 this year. CUET is compulsory for all 45 central universities funded by UGC which implies that minority institutions like AMU and JMI, will also have to adopt the entrance test criteria for admissions.
