As admission in Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE Madurai) is made through counselling-based on marks obtained in 10+2, you need to appear for the counselling to know the exact result.

Placements here are pretty good as compared to other colleges in that area. But as such the data for BE civil engineering is not specified. Please refer the link below for the reviews of the college:

Hello, Sardar Patel College of Engineering is a government institute. Approximate cut off for:
General-170
OBC-150
SC-70
So it will be tough for you to get this college with your JEE score.

First you need to clear JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced. As this is the IIT Bombay admission procedure. After that:-
Eligibility criteria for JEE is as follows:
1) Students who are born on or after October 1, 1992 are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) have been given a relaxation of 5 years.

Anybody who could manage a good enough CGPA (around 7 and above) had lot of opportunities of internships and placements from reputed companies and if you have managed to get a valid GATE score, you will get the scholarship. The tuition has been reduced from the time when I was in M.Tech. I think the selection criteria too has changed.
You will probably have to write another entrance test of Manipal to secure the M tech admission, but if you have cleared GATE it will not be a big hurdle. Yes, on a whole Manipal is good for M.Tech, Manipal has 24 postgraduate course including ME (Master of engineering). Placements are very good especially

CSE field needs knowledge about computer programming languages and computer design and many more. Civil engineering needs knowledge about engineering drawings, constructions, etc. The choice is yours. In which field are you comfortable or interested more?
According to me, CSE is better.

Depends. Infrastructure wise both are almost same. Placements wise JU is alot better. Especially if you are considering CS/IT placements. Faculty wise JU is alot better as well. JU campus politically charged. Am not sure if it affects academics or not. But, if it doesn't then JU is surely the better option. Infrastructure wise may be HBTI is better. But not placement wise and there is nothing called study-wise better in government. Colleges, that depends on your own performance but JUs faculty is more renowned and that shows in the quality of research. The latest stats arent available for HBTI but JUs placements you will find here.
