At this moment (After 6th Pay commission new scale) the total payment of an IAS recruit can be roughly estimated as below:
Basic Pay: Rs 23,640
D.A. (@107%): Rs 25,295
H.R.A. (@30%): Rs 7,092
T.A.: 5,280
Total: Rs 61,307 (This is the time of training and learning. The new recruit is placed into a two years' probation period. After that he is posted as a SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate), also known as SDO or Sub-Collector).

You should visit few Civil Services Coaching Centers and website of UPSC. Do understand the eligibility criteria and start preparing early for good results.
For UG and PG courses in mass communication, journalism, films, TV, Radio and Photography, etc. you can choose to study in RK Films & Media Academy, Delhi

If you have passed class 12th with Science and biology as a subject then you can pursue B.Sc. in Forensic Science. For UPSC, it will help you in biology subject. You can also apply for other positions and vacancies whose exams are conducted by UPSC.

B.Com (Hons.) is the best option as in honors you will get wide syllabus to study which will help you for your preparation. Economics and business studies are being asked in IAS papers. Also, B.Com (Hons.) will be better perspective for the career also.

Through both the programmes, you can prepare for civil services exam but as a professional degree, I would prefer Economics (Honors) Programme because if you not able to crack the exam. Then, you can start your job or further education for growth, knowledge and opportunities.
