The Union Public Service Commission has set a minimum level of education qualification that a candidate must possess to be eligible for CDS examination. The minimum qualification required to appear for CDS exam is Graduation/Bachelors from a Government recognised university. The detailed CDS education qualification required is highlighted below:
1. Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA): Bachelors Degree From a recognised university.
2. Indian Naval Academy (INA): Bachelors in Engineering from a recognised University.

You should choose class 11th stream in accordance with your future plan of study and interest. In your case, humanities could be a good choice. It can make your foundation for career in journalism and communication, law, civil services etc. Best wishes.

You can study humanities with the correct subject combination. At least three subjects from History, Political Science, Geography, and economics. One language preferably English. Humanities with the correct subject combination are best for CLAT. If you wish to BBA LL.B. In the future from NLU than it is better to study economics in 11th and 12th.
1 year of serious preparation is enough to score well in CLAT. Also try to read newspapers, constitutions ( books like M. Lakshimikant), current affairs. Best wishes.
