Firstly you have lots of time to prepare for the exam. For the first few months you should have to focused on reading. Read as many books you can read because it will improve your reading speed and at the same time it will improve your comprehension skill which is the most important factor clear this exam. After reading you have to start reading one national newspaper on daily basis for the section of General Awareness.

Yes, you can. Any stream students can take CLAT UG Exam and it is open for all the streams.

You can go for those colleges which do not consider CLAT score at the time of admissions. But at the same time you should have also given other Law Entrance Exam like MH-CET.

CLAT is only necessary for 5 Years integrated BALLB course and 2 Years LLM course.
For Government Law College, Madras you should have to visit their website and check which Entrance Exam score they are considering.
