A:

Yes, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) in Bangalore, India, accepts CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) scores for admission to its various undergraduate and postgraduate law programs, including the BA LLB program. CLAT is a common entrance test used by many of the top law schools in India to determine admission to their law programs. The primary entrance exam used for admission to NLSIU's undergraduate BA LLB programme is the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Candidates must register for CLAT, take the exam, and achieve a qualifying score to be eligible for admission to NLSIU.

NLSIU, like other national law universities in India, uses the entrance test results to determine the selection of candidates. The selection process may also include further evaluation, such as personal interviews and counseling rounds, depending on the university's specific admission criteria.

It's essential for aspiring students to check NLSIU's official website and the CLAT website for the most up-to-date information on admission requirements, dates, and procedures, as they may change from year to year. 2. Academic eligibility: Candidates may need to meet minimum educational qualifications, which can vary depending on the program.

On Cutoffs

Q:   What are the factors affecting NLSIU Bangalore CLAT cutoff 2023?

A:

Every year, the cut off marks for the CLAT exam are affected due to the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of the exam. If the question paper is easy then the CLAT cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa.
  • Total number of applications received. If the total number of applications received is less, the cut-off is expected to be relaxed.
  • Total candidates qualifying CLAT exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low
  • Total number of seats. If the total number of seats is revised and increased then cut off is expected to remain low
  • Previous year cut offs. For the top NLUs, the cut-off marks in previous years were high, therefore, only topper candidates could make it for final admissions. For other NLUs, the cut off marks are relatively low.

Q:   How much score do you need in CLAT to get admission in NLU Bangalore?

A:

As of now, CNLU has released the CLAT 2024 Round 1 Seat Allotment result for admission to NLSIU Bangalore for courses including B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. The first step for NLSIU Bangalore admission is to appear for CLAT exam. Only candidates with a valid CLAT scores are allowed to partciipate in the CLAT counselling which is the final step of NLU Bangalore admission. Q:   Can students with a minimum cutoff for BA LLB get a seat at National Law School of India University?

A:

Yes, students who meet the minimum cutoff for the BA LLB programme at NLSIU can potentially secure a seat. However, it's important to note that the cutoff is the last rank or minimum marks for which the university offers admission. It depends on factors such as the number of seats offered, reservation, number of applicants, and their performance in CLAT.

The NLSIU cutoff in 2023 for the BA LLB (Hons) programme was quite competitive, with the last round closing rank standing at 114. In 2022 and 2021, the last round closing ranks were 149 and 83, respectively.

Therefore, while meeting the cutoff is a requirement, it does not guarantee admission due to the competitive nature of the process. The higher a candidate's rank or score in the CLAT exam, the better their chances of securing a seat.

Q:   What is the cut off for CLAT 2023 for NLU Bangalore?

A:

The closing rank for CLAT Fourth Provisional Allocation List for NLU Bangalore BA LLB (Hons) course stood closed for the General category students from Vertical Reservations. Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) releases institute-wise and course-wise CLAT Provisional Allotment lists on the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2023 for NLU admissions 2023 to BA LLB and LLM programmes. Review of National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
Placements: In the previous year, almost all students who attended for placements received job offers. The majority of students received PPOs in their fourth year. The average salary package offered in the previous year was 12 LPA. Recruiters are law firms like Luthra and Luthra, Khaitan and Co., etc.
Infrastructure: It's a 23-acre campus. It is quite small if you compare it to engineering colleges. Most of the facilities are available here. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, so you don't need to worry about data limits. In some places, the connectivity is not good. Mess food is quite good on some days, particularly breakfast.
Faculty: If you think college is not only about studies and extracurricular activities, then you won't like NLS. The whole trimester is jammed up with projects, vivas, moots, negos, exams, etc. It's quite hectic at times. After a while, you get used to it.
Other: Sometimes, extracurricular activities are conducted.

Infrastructure: We have a good infrastructure for 1000 people because of being a top university in India we don't have much seats and our campus is medium but beautiful eco-friendly where everyone can live there life. The quality of foods manageable and other facilities are also good which we can't compare.
Faculty: Excellent professors from law field and the way of teaching is beyond expectations. They are graduated from top universities so they know how to teach in top college. Everyone is reachable for any doubt and they explain in better way anywhere even outside classrooms also.

Decent return of investment.
Placements: Placements for our course are good. Almost all the students get placed. The highest package in 2021 for our course was somewhere around 16 lakhs per annum and the average was 10 lakhs per annum. Companies such as Bajaj Allianz, DLF Limited, Reliance Power, SEBI, SBI Tata Motors and law firms such as Luthra & Luthra Partners, AZB Partners, Amarchand and Mangaldas, etc. provided jobs.
Infrastructure: The library at the campus has a rich collection of reading material for both students as well as faculty members. For students who are into sports, the university has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. A well established gym, cafeteria, modern classrooms, auditorium, medical centre etc. are there. The campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. The hostel fee for the span of five years was 58k which is very cheap. We have 4 hostels for boys which have 24x7 water and laundry facility available.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well designed. We were given the course outline at the beginning of the course. The faculty members for most of the subjects are quite good. Apart from that, there are several courses regularly offered by an expert in the field. This helps us in giving practical knowledge apart from theoretical one.

Our college has amazing placements and facilities.
Placements: Placements in NLSIU are one of the best in law. All the tier 1 and tier 2 law firms come to NLSIU. You can expect a salary package between 15 LPA to 18 lacs. Banks also hire students for in-house counsel. Top recruiters are SAM, CAM, Trilegal, and Khaitan. Almost everyone gets an internship in these law firms. If one is interested to get a job, they will get a job.
Infrastructure: The campus covers 23 acres of land and due to the recent increase in intake of students, there has been a lot of crowd lately. The Wi-Fi connection is average. Classrooms are good and the library is awesome. We have decent facilities for sports like football, basketball, cricket, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: Old teachers on campus are quite helpful. Most of them have done their LLMs abroad. They are quite knowledgeable too. The course is quite relevant to law. It follows a socratic method where students engage the discussion. Semester exams are neither so difficult nor so easy. A lot of faculty members were hired recently so I can't say much about their expertise.
