Candidates who have cleared the HSC (10+2) or equivalent exam with a minimum passing grade from any  school and hold a degree of B.Arch will be considered eligible for admission. Admission at BVSP is based on a Common Entrance Test (CET) consisting of a Personal Interview and Portfolio Assessment.

To apply to Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Architecture for B.Arch, you need to have completed a 10+2 level examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and obtained a minimum of 50% marks overall. Alternatively, candidates who have completed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a mandatory subject and secured at least 50% marks in total are also eligible. Additionally, a valid NATA score following COA guidelines and notifications is necessary.

Government College of Architecture & Sculpture has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
CoursesEligibility
BFACandidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board.
B.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile.
Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.
B.ArchCandidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised Institute/ University can also apply.
Candidates appearing for 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2023.
