Assam University is a central university established by an act of Parliament in 1994. It has two campuses, one each in Diphu and Silchar. With a Grade B, the NAAC has certified Assam University. Yes, the reservation of seats at Assam University is as per the Government of Assam reservation rules for admission into academic institutions. The university reserves the right to convert reserved quota seats into unreserved seats if candidates in the reserved categories do not come up for admission.
