Assam University provides a 2-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. The programme aims to equip the students with comprehensive skills and in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of real-life-management within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural setting. The process of taking admission to Assam University is described in bullet formats below:

• Firstly, the student need to take any of these exams like CAT/ CMAT/ CUCET or WSAT, i.e. Assam University's own designed entrance exam for those candidates who haven’t any of the former exams.
• Secondly, the applicant must register for counselling, which inculcates filling college preferences and submitting academic and other essential documents.
• Thirdly and finally, if the applicant’s rank is above the closing rank mentioned in the merit list of Assam University, the candidate will have to follow up with Group Discussion & Personal Interview to secure their seat for MBA.

Assam University usually starts the registration process for MBA between February and March. The complete process includes filling out the registration form followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD + PI)
