Sahrdaya College of Engineering, Thrissur was established in 2002 under Irinjalakuda Diocesan Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Calicut University, Malappuram and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The Government Medical College and Hospital in the Aurangabad city is considered one of the famous medical colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences MUHS. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Diploma programs under various specializations. The current intake at the college for UG courses is 150 whereas, for PG programs, it is 155 per year. Along with UG and PG, 50 are admitted to B.Sc. Nursing and 120 are admitted to BPMT every year. Admission to the courses is done on the basis of marks secured in the national level entrance exam i.e. NEET.
