Yes, Utkal University has separate hostels for boys and girls. There are a total of 13 hostels, six for boys and seven for girls. Every hostel has a common room where boarders are provided with computer, WiFi, Library, newspapers, periodicals, and television. The students are also provided with computational facilities and WiFi. Each hostel has a mess facility.

Utkal University has 117 faculty members and 343 non-teaching staff. The university professors are PhD and Diploma holders. The university conducts conferences on a large scale and also arranges guest lectures for the students on various occasions.
