Yes, international students at Algoma are also eligible for internships. As of now, the university offers 19+ academic internship courses. The pre-requisites for registering for an internship at the university are given as follows:
- Completion of 2 years of their program of studies including all required courses
- An overall average of 70%
For Graduate Certificate courses, students can register for the internship course in their second semester for the one-year certificate and their third or fourth semester in their 2-year Certificate course.

International students applying to Algoma University bachelor's degrees will be considered for an Entrance Scholarship. To be eligible for these scholarships, the applicants should have a minimum academic result direct from the high school, or on previous academic records if transferring to another university. Note that no separate application is required for these scholarships. Details of these scholarships are given below:
