To apply at the University of Toronto as an international student, an English proficiency exam like IELTS with a score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90 is required for most of UG programs. There is an admission requirement of standardized tests too, the students might be required to take SAT or ACT for UG level courses. A SAT score of 1330 to 1500 is recommended, on the other hand for ACT, a score of 29 to 34 is required.

Undergraduate Courses
- All India Senior School Certificate awarded by CBSE / Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE. Class 12 State Board exams with excellent results shall also be considered on an individual basis
- Note that CBSE students who want to study programs that need Calculus for admissions, like Business, Engineering, and Science programs, must present Class 12 Standard Mathematics for admission consideration
- Class 12 Applied Mathematics (Old and New syllabus) shall not meet

The IELTS score required for admission to SFU is overall 6.5 with no part less than 6.0. The same score is required for admission to PG courses as well. Additionally, in place of IELTS scores, students can also submit TOEFL / PTE / Duolingo scores. The minimum test scores required in these English language proficiency test scores are given below:

Yes, to the complete process of SFU admissions, international applicants are required to pay an application fee. The applicants can apply to this university online. For UG applicants, the application fee is CAD 130 (Around INR 8k). The application fee can be paid via credit card. On the other hand, the application fee for international graduate students is CAD 150 (Around INR 9,300). Make sure all the application documents such as academic transcripts, English language proficiency score, reference letters, or any other documents are submitted for admission.
