Kwantlen Polytechnic University does not require for entrance exam and interview for most programs. The university selects candidates based on academic excellence and English language proficiency. However, there are some programs, such as Design and Arts, that may ask students for a portfolio and an interview. On the other hand, programs like Engineering, Business, and IT do not ask for it.

Indian students who want to join Kwantlen Polytechnic University must score minimum 60% in Class 12 to be eligible for KPU admission. The students must hold a Diploma or proof of high school/ bachelor's degree completion based on the level of study from a recognised board like CBSE, ISC, or a state board. In addition, subjects like Math and English require meeting a minimum grade score, and competitive programs like Design expect even more.
