BTech is one of the popular courses of UPES Dehradun offered via School of Health Sciences and Technology, UPES . As per NIRF 2022 rankings, the university was ranked at 61 position under 'Engineering' category. The rankings saw a jump from 91 position in 2021 and 167 position in 2020. Apart from the Engineering course, UPES Dehradun was also the part of NIRF Ranking under 'University' category. Recently, the university also found a place in 'Overall' category of NIRF 2022 rankings. Not only in terms of position, the university also provides excellent placement opportunities to BTech students. As per the latest report, over 250 recruiters participated and presented over 2,000 job offers to the class of 2023. Further, the highest and average package offered to School of Computer Science students during UPES placements 2023 stood at INR 36 LPA and INR 8.66 LPA, respectively. 

Admission to the School of Health Sciences and Technology, UPES BPharm course is based on JEE Main/NEET score. The university also conducts its own entrance exam, UPESPAT, for providing admission to the BPharm course. UPES PAT (Pharmacy Aptitude Test) is a national-level online admission test held every year for admission into the four-year BPharma course at UPES School of Health Sciences.

Additionally, candidates who have qualified any of the specified entrance exams must complete Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate and Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects in Class 12 to apply for the BPharm course. Additionally, aspirants who have not appeared for any of the specified entrance exams must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects in Class 12 to apply for the BPharm course.

Candidates must hold the required documents at the time of verification to avoid rejection. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat. The total tuition fee for the BPharma course is INR 9.48 lakh as per an official source.

It totally depends on individual's priorities and needs whether Institute of technology and management, Dehradun is as good as BFIT group of institutions. Both the institutes share good reputation and recommendations amongst students. Where on one hand BFIT group of institutions is said to emphasise on skill development and professional courses, ITM Dehradun works academically well and offer various graduate and post graduate courses alongwith a fair amount of focus on research with various publications and collaborations. Whereas BFIT group of institutes provide good mentorship and designed curriculum practically with industry-based projects, internships and training.
