Yes, it is always good to pursue Journalism studies after 12th itself. AFCOS IIMCs are good without any doubt but there are few other institutes across the country which are equally good as IIMC's. Few things you should keep on your mind prior to proceed for Journalism degree.
Do they have an experienced faculty (Faculty must have expertise in theory and practical both). Do they have Adequate/appropriate equipment to make you expert in handling them? If you have appeared for B.FTech course, then your CMR is applicable for B.FTech only. NIFT does not released any separate CMR of any course.

Two branches of UG courses in commerce streams are available in DU as B.Com (Hons. ) and B.Com. The eligibility criteria of both of the courses are different (Please see UG Information Bulletin). B.Com (Hons.) is the best course of DU. The fee structure of B.Com (Hons.) varies according to the college and can be Rs 6000 to 28100 per year. So please see the UG Information Bulletin:

There is no entrance exam in University of Delhi for admission in B.Com course. The admissions are based on merit of the qualifying exam (12th marks).

Applicant should have a degree of graduation with minimum 50% marks (excluding B.A/ B.Sc. Vocation courses) from a recognised University or a Masters Degree with minimum 50% in any school teaching subject from a recognised University. Yes, you can apply.

The eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Mathematics of IIT Delhi is a Bachelors degree with minimum 55% of marks for general and OBCs and must have studied maths at least two years/four semesters at graduation level.
The admission will be based on ranks/marks obtained in JAM entrance exam.
Therefore, you can be eligible if meeting the above criteria.
