OPENMAT is held twice a year. Admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. ) programme is done through a national level entrance test. A relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks is allowed to SC/ST/PD candidates. The University conducts Term-end Examination twice a year.

JNU as an Institution is the most Democratic place in India. It allows you to write your answers in either languages (I. e Hindi and English). Some people might object that if it is that much democratic, why don't it allows to write Answers in all 22 languages mentioned in Schedule 8 of Indian constitution. The reason is that Evaluation process involves The faculty members of JNU only. There might be a possibility that Each department doesn't have professor from all regional parts of India, so there will a difficulty in evaluation of answer sheets. Yes, Distance education has more value than regular courses, it also depends on various other situations. If you have experience and you are pursuing higher education in the same line to enhance your degree, then it does count. For higher education people are mostly doing through distance education.

Cost-Effective: Distance MBA from IGNOU does not burn a hole in candidates' pockets as compared to a regular MBA programme. The course fee of a distance MBA course from IGNOU is quite low and affordable for most candidates.
