The International Pepper Community and the Spices Board of India sponsored a competition at the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Thiruvananthapuram. Lhaden and Wangmu Bhutia, who received a monetary award of Rs. 50,000, represented IHM Gangtok.
