In Times Higher Education Rankings 2026, Free University of Berlin's ranking is #113. This university has been ranking among the Top 150 Universities worldwide since the last 5 years. A few of the subject rankings as per the 2025 rankings include:
- Arts and Humanities: #29

Students earn a minimum wage of around INR 1.3 K/hour. The previous rate was around INR 1.2 K/hour. Students earn an average monthly salary of around INR 55.2 K. Students don't need to pay an tax on this salary.
However, once this monthly limit is exceeded, students would have to get a tax number and pay tax.

Free University of Berlin arrange accommodation for international exchange and programme students and international visiting scholars. But, international students of higher studies might have to arrange their own accommodation. The Studierendenwerk Berlin offers privately owned dorms. Students can find a private apartment. As per a source, the average rent in Berlin was €678 and the rent for a student housing can be around €311 - €491.

Free Uni of Berlin is in the southwest of Berlin, in the garden district of Dahlem. In total, there are four campuses of Free University of Berlin, the Dahlem Campus, Lankwitz Campus, Duppel Campus, and Benjamin Franklin Campus. A number of institutes and departments are there at Dahlem Campus. On Lankwitz Campus, the Institute of Geological Sciences and the Institute of Geographical Sciences are there.

As per the QS Rankings, RWTH Aachen has been ranked #105 in 2026. The ranking has improved from #99 in 2025. The subject ranking for 2026 are not released by the ranking body.
As per the 2024 rankings, the RWTH Aachen is among the top 100 ranked courses for Art and Design, Engineering and Technology, Global MBA, Architecture and Built Environment, and Mathematics. The detailed ranking of the university by QS over the years is given in the table below -

Yes, the Leonhard Lorenz Foundation Scholarship offers financial support to doctoral and post-doctoral students. It offers around INR 1.6 Lakh for Conference Participation. For research projects, students get a stipend of up to INR 5.25 Lakh. To be eligible, students would need to show academic excellence. They would also have to submit some additional documents like official transcripts and test scores.

Yes, the Hilde Domin Programme is one such scholarship. It is offered to students who have been denied the right to education in their country of origin. This offers them a chance to complete a PG degree or a doctoral programme at a German University. The scholarship is administered by DAAD.
The scholarship offers monthly financial support, travel grants, and German langauge courses, among other services to students. The duration of the same is usually 24 months for a PG degree and a 48 months for a doctoral degree.
