Certain conditions permit direct admission into the Institute of Technology and Management (ITM), Gorakhpur. The requirements for direct admission are that candidates must meet eligibility criteria and directly apply based on merit or management quota. That is, a candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics.

In contrast to admission by way of UPSEE or JEE Main, direct admission does not require entrance exam scores, provided seats are available after the conclusion of counseling rounds.
