Candidates age should be less than 25 years at the start of training. Eyesight should be 6/6 (with or without external aids), and no color blindness. Admissions to B.Tech. are based on merit in the IMU CET exam, followed by counseling. For B.Tech. (Lateral Entry), candidates are selected based on performance in the Pre Screening Test (PST) and an interview.

For admission to B.Tech at International Maritime Institute the candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in PCM taken together. Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in English. Admissions to the B.Tech. programme at International Maritime Institute are based on merit in the IMU CET (Common Entrance Test) followed by counseling. 

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a three-year (six semester) degree course affiliated with CCS University, Meerut. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply for the Ishan Institute of Management and Technology BBA programme. Admission to BBA is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.
