If your priority is placements I wouldn't recommend choosing a college based only on the highest package advertised. It's better to compare factors like the average outcomes recruiter base internship opportunities placement training and how consistently students get placed over the years.

When I was shortlisting engineering colleges I realized that "industry collaboration" is one of those terms every college uses, but the depth of those partnerships is what actually matters. For CSE students, I'd look for colleges where collaborations influence the curriculum, certifications, internships, live projects, and placement opportunities not just occasional guest lectures.

"Industry-oriented" gets thrown around a lot in college brochures, so it's worth being a little skeptical and actually looking at what's backing that claim up at each place.
On the government side, NIT Kurukshetra obviously has strong industry pull just because of its brand and alumni network, and DCRUST Murthal has decent recruiter interest too, though the curriculum itself stays fairly traditional. Among private universities, BML Munjal has an edge here being backed by the Hero Group means students get real access to corporate mentorship and Gurgaon's industry ecosystem, which is a big part of why people pick it.
