Candidates can either join Eternal University based on merit or entrance exam score. The selection requirement will vary as per the course selected by the aspirants. The university accepts national or state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, HPCET for BTech and CAT, MAT, XAT, etc. for MBA. Eternal University conducts an entrance exam for admission to BSc Nursing, BSc Agriculture, BTech FT an all PhD courses.

Eternal University conducts its own entrance examination for BSc Hons in Agriculture and BSc in Nursing programmes. The admission cell of the University releases the schedule for the entrance examination. Minimum qualifying marks for appearing in the entrance examination is 50%.

Eternal University BSc course admissions are both merit-based and entrance-based. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination in Science stream with relevant subjects with minimum 50% aggregate can apply for admission to the BSc Hons at Eternal University in most of the specialisations. However, the University conducts its own entrance examination for BSc Hons in Agriculture and BSc in Nursing programmes.
