Jaypee University of Information & Technology, Solan was established in the year 2002. It offers 7 specializations under the B.Tech program, 4 under M.Tech, and 8 under the Ph.D. program. B.Tech is a full-time undergraduate programme of four years with a total of 510 seats. According to the official website of JUIT Solan, admission to B.Tech programme is through two modes:
- Valid JEE Main scores and merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 examination).
- For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, 50% of seats are filled through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.

JUIT Solan offers The Willian Webster merit-Cum Means Scholarship. Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan has set up an initial corpus of INR 20 lakh for the William Webster MeritCum-Means Scholarship to be provided to eligible students from the income earned by way of Interest from the corpus. Selected students will get a tuition fee waiver for the year up to a maximum of INR 25,000. All scholarship amounts will be adjusted against the tuition fees of the year in which they are approved.
Other than JUIT Solan scholarships, the university also provides several Tuition Fee Waivers to wards of the armed forces (present or retired), PMF personnel, and War Widows.

Yes, Jaypee University of Information Technology campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in Himachal Pradesh. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety.
