NIT Sikkim course admissions are entrance-based. For admission to its BTech programme, NIT Sikkim accepts the JEE Main scores, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. NIT Sikkim admission to M.Tech and MSc programmes is based on GATE and IIT JAM scores, respectively. After qualifying for the respective entrance exams, interested candidates must apply for the relevant counselling sessions, such as JoSAA, CCMN and CCMT, to gain admission to various courses offered by the institute.

NIT Sikkim cut off for M.Tech was released as scores for different categories belonging to the AI and HS quotas. NIT Sikkim GATE cutoff 2025 ranged between 360 and 432, wherein M.Tech in Communication and Signal Processing emerged as the most sought-after specialisation for admission in the General AI category.

There is only 1 specialisation of MBA course offered by GITAM which is available in both the general mode and the working professional mode. Instead of offering seperate MBA specialisation courses, GITAM allows its MBA students to choose the MBA course subjects of their choice. NIT Sikkim, the the highest package offered during 2025 was INR 44 LPA. The brochure, 75.37% of BTech students were placed during the 2024 drive. Further, the BTech students received 100% internship opportunities in reputed organisations. The prominent recruiters of NIT Sikkim placements 2024 included Deloitte, Samsung, IBM, NVIDIA, etc.

The MBA courses offered by GITAM have a duration of 2 years. The duration is the same for both the general MBA course and the MBA course for working professionals. The MBA course fees is divided into 2 equal instalments which becomes payable at the beginning of each year. Candidates can learn more about the MBA courses of GITAM on the official website.

Yes, NIT Sikkim be considered a good college for engineering. The institute is an autonomous institute recognised by the UGC and approved by the AICTE. While its recent NIRF ranking places it in the 151-200 band for engineering, and its median placement packages are modest at around INR 8.50 LPA for B.Tech. The faculty are passionate and committed to helping the students in their career pathways. The faculty focuses on theoretical and practical knowledge for the students.

The admission process for PG programme at NIT Jalandhar is merit based, with the college accepting GATE scores for the same. Candidates must check if they are eligible for the PG programme at the college and additionally must also register for the CCMT counselling process. After, attendiong the counselling session, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit with reference to their respective GATE scores.

The minimum eligibility for BTech admission at NIT Jalandhar is passing Class 12 with atleast 50% aggregate. Hence, with 60% in Class 12, the candidate is eligible for applying for admission in BTech at NIT Jalandhar. The selection criteria for the same is JEE Main and JoSAA counselling. Hence, the candidate must aslo clear JEE Main and Register and attend JoSAA counselling to be allotted a seat at the college for BTech on merit basis.
