Yes, the placement information is available publicly, and from what I have seen, GIBS Bangalore has reported an average package of around 8–9 LPA and the highest package going up to around 20 LPA in recent years.

I did my studies at GIBS, and honestly, what impressed me was not just the highest package number. The college puts a lot of focus on helping students prepare for placements through mock interviews, aptitude training, presentations, internships, and industry interactions.

For me, the bigger thing was that students from different backgrounds were able to get good opportunities. Some got higher packages, some got average package

In some recent placement seasons, the highest MBA package went up to INR 49.4 LPA, and the top 10% of MBA students had an average package of INR 13.6 LPA. Now between Marketing and Tourism & Hospitality ,I'd nudge you toward Marketing if you want wider career mobility, because it basically opens a few or rather doors across nearly every field, including FMCG , retail , digital marketing, banking, and consulting. No, CAT is not compulsory for MBA admission at LPU. You can rather apply through LPUNEST, it is accepted both for admission and scholarships, so that works even if you do not have CAT. Also LPU accepts valid scores from national-level exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and NMAT , so in case you do not have a CAT score , just qualifying in LPUNEST is enough. After the entrance exam, shortlisted candidates might still need to go through the university's selection process, it includes a video essay and interview.

If you're looking at banking, investment, wealth management, fintech, or capital markets in general, then an MBA in Financial Markets from LPU might feel like a worthwhile call. The whole thing mixes core management foundations with topics such as equity and debt market(s), financial analysis, investment strategies and risk management, not to forget internships , live projects, and some real industry interaction too. LPU also maintains a solid placement ecosystem and corporate partnerships, which can give students practical exposure, kind of early. Like any MBA, the end result still depends a lot on what you learn, the certifications y
