BIT Sindri was founded in 1949 and has UGC and AICTE approval. The NBA has granted the college accreditation. According to NIRF 2022, the college is placed 251-300 for BTech. The four-year BTech programme at Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri is divided into eight semesters. At BIT Sindri, the four-year B.Tech. programme in computer Science and engineering is available to undergraduate students. BIT Sindri's B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering programme requires applicants to have a 45.0% 12th grade admission criteria in order to be accepted. The BIT Sindri B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering has a total tuition cost of INR 30928. Students must also pay a hostel fee of INR 40,000 in addition to their tuition.

Cambridge Institute of Technology BE is a four-year course with seven specialisations. According to official sources, the total tuition expenses for a four-year BE programme range between INR 6 Lacs and 20 lakh. A total of 204 organisations visited the university, and 860 students were hired. The median and average packages offered by IIT Dhanbad placements in 2024 were INR 12.50 LPA and INR 16.45 LPA, respectively. In addition, 321 internship opportunities were extended to the 2025 group. According to the official website, the overall 2024 average package for BTech, MTech, and other courses was INR 16.45 LPA. The median monthly stipend was INR 75,000.
