Harcourt Butler Technical University provides 50+ courses across six streams at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels. These courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The admissions to UG, PG, and PhD courses, namely MCA, MTech, MBA, BTech, PhD, and MSc are based on the entrance exam. All the courses at HBTU are offered under its five schools, namely the School of Engineering, School of Chemical Technology, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, School of Enterpreneurship and Management and School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The hostel fee structure of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University for boys and girls is between INR 15,000 - INR 31,000. CSJMU provides two boys' hostels with a capacity of 400 inmates and four girls’ hostels with a total capacity of 500 inmates. All the hostels have mess facilities at moderate rates, 24-hour power supply, common hall, TV room, reading rooms, telephone, recreational and sports facilities with a tight security system. The students are allowed to use their computers in the rooms. To avail of mess services on the campus the students need to pay INR 41,340.

CSJMU admission to UG, PG, and PhD level programs is based on merit or entrance exam conducted by CSJMU. However, for certain courses, the university also accepts scores of national level exams such as JEE Main, NEET, JEECUP, and GATE. Students will be required to undergo the counselling process conducted by CSJM University for admission. CSJMU admission process is conducted online.
