Regarding the examination of the semester, whether it is theory or practical, the result of S J C Institute of Technology comes within 30-45 days of the examination. They are displayed on the institute's official website and the different notice boards available. For courses affiliated with VTU, the schedule mentioned in the VTU schedule is followed. Much as it is standard for students to receive their percentage, mark sheets, and grade points, they are issued instantly with minimal or no hustles in transition to the next semester.

Getting admission into the SJM Institute of Technology (SJMIT) is moderately competitive. The difficulty largely depends on the entrance exam scores (e.g., KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main) and the demand for specific courses. Students must meet the eligibility criteria, including a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Class 12 with PCM (40% for reserved categories). Admissions for management quota seats are comparatively less competitive. Preparation for entrance exams and timely application submission increases the chances of securing admission.
