To prepared well for the exam, the candidates are recommended to verify the official syllabus so that they know the topics to be covered. Course-wise syllabus will be published online.

The NIELIT O level will be conducted as a pen-and-paper test. The students have to attempt four theory papers and one practical exams. The theory exam will be of objective multiple-choice type. Each paper will be of 100 marks. There will be no adverse marking for wrong answers. NIELIT O level is conducted twice a year.

NIELIT results will be declared online by the officials. To get the result, the candidates will need to log in with the necessary credentials. The candidates will need to submit their exam year, name, roll number and date of birth to log in and view their result. No other method will be adopted for announcing the NIELIT results.
