NIT Calicut has 13 hostels on the campus, out of which 10 are for boys and 3 for girls. These include two mega hostels for boys and a 500-seat mega hostel for ladies. Messes operated by outsourcing are available in all hostels. Hostel administration is through the Chief Warden and the Council of Wardens, appointed by the Director. The Hostel and Mess Committee, with student members, manages the hostels and mess halls.

NIT Calicut covers an area of around 120 hectares. The campus is green, and the ambience is very enjoyable. It is a residential campus, with all amenities available on and around the campus. There are various facilities available for students and faculty on campus.
