About 50–60% of students are placed. In 2022, 49 UG students and 89 PG students were placed. The median package offered for PG (1-year) courses is INR 2.40 LPA, and INR 3.60 LPA for PG (2-year) courses. For the MBA course, offers range from INR 3LPA-5LPA. Central University of Kashmir is UGC approved and NAAC accredited. In 2023, it was ranked 58th in the Overall category by NIRF a 26 rank increase from 2022. CUK offers UG, PG, and PhD programs in various streams, including science, technology, education, social sciences, business administration and computer application, Some say CUK has a cool environment and a beautiful campus and will look extraordinary after completion. Others rate it 3.0 out of 5 for placements, 3.8 out of 5 for infrastructure, faculty and course curriculum 3.8 out of 5 for crowd and campus life and 3.9 out of 5 for value for money.

The 2025 CUET cutoff for the general category at the Central University of Jammu is 78.01–186.06 marks. The overall cutoff for CUET-PG is 62 marks. Eligibility for admission to the Central University of Kashmir requires a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Central University of Kashmir (CUK) is expected to release the CUET 2024 cutoff list by the end of July 2024. The cutoff list will be available on the CUK official website, cukashmir.ac.in.
The CUET 2024 UG exam was held between May 15 and June 31, 2024.
A 60 percentile is considered a passing percentile. A percentile above 80 or 90 will get you a good-ranked college.
