The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Guwahati is an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, provides funding for the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Gangtok, a unit of NIELIT Institutes that was founded in 2010. This college provides short-term, non-formal education in the field of information, electronics, and communication technologies (IECT). Additionally, students can choose from this college's limited-seat specialty winter training and employment promotion programmes. Three streams comprising 19 courses are offered by the college. A scholarship programme called Protsahan Puraskar is also available to selected students. The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology is connected to it. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Guwahati) was established in 1998. The college offers more than 50 various diploma, advanced diploma, short-term and long-term certificate courses. The cost of pursuing courses at NIELIT Delhi varies depending on the specific programme and the level of study. For Certificate courses, the total fees is range between INR 1.5k to 28.6k, for UG Diploma courses,   the total fees is range between INR 10k - 10.9k, for BCA programme the total cost is INR 1.2L, for PG dipoloma courses, the total fees is 27k, for DOEACC A Level programme the total fees is 35.5k, for M.Sc courses, the total fees is 95k .
