Calicut University offers admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate level courses available in the disciplines of Management, Science, Arts, and Commerce, and many others.
For most of the courses, the university conducts an entrance exam and releases rank lists for the shortlisted candidates. All the colleges affiliated to Calicut University accepts the provisional rank list scores for admission to the respective course. The admissions to Calicut University are based on a Merit List prepared by the University basis on the candidate's entrance exam score.

The university releases provisional rank lists for admission to all the affiliated colleges of Calicut University. Candidates with their names in the Calicut University rank lists are provisionally admitted to the respective courses, & need to report to the college within the due date against each counselling round and pay the fees and verify the documents to confirm their seats for final admission at the colleges affiliated under the Calicut University.
