TKM Institute of Management Highlights 2023
Established in 1995, TKM Institute of Management, also known as TIM, is one of the premier B-schools in Kerala. Affiliated to the University of Kerala, this Institute offers a PG-level course in Management education namely MBA which is approved by the AICTE. The MBA programme is offered in four specialisations namely Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Operations and Systems. Also, the faculty at this College hold doctoral-level qualification along with 10 or more years of business/industry experience.
TIM, Kollam also comprises an Incubation Centre with well-furnished office space and 25 workstations that focuses on overall mentoring and skill development of students to inculcate right aptitude and abilities for enhancing their entrepreneurial abilities. Apart from regular classroom teaching in the form of lectures, case studies, presentations, role plays, business games, the students are exposed to field learning through corporate mentoring, live projects, industry internships and industrial visits to various companies like Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts Pvt. Ltd., Lucas TVS, Murugappa Group-Ti Cycles, Ostrich Mobility Services, Sami Labs, and many more.
Students also participate in various outbound training and community development programmes to gain exposure to persistent social and environmental issues. The Institute recognises two of the best outgoing participants for their academic performance at the University examinations every year with its Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.

TKM Institute of Management, Kollam offers a two-year MBA course in full-time mode across four specialisations namely Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations and Systems. The course curriculum is inclusive of classroom learning in the form of lectures, case studies, presentations, role plays, business games along with completing a summer project. Students, in the second year of their course, are required to undertake a summer project of two to three-month duration in their area of interest/specialisation in any private/public sector organisation. The project includes identifying a problem related to their study area, designing a research methodology and preparing a case study briefing the observations.
