Yes you have SIT, Mangalore and BEADS, Mangalore. I would suggest BGS School of Architecture and Planning, Bangalore.

Depends upon your Choice of branch. You may get into MME and other branches. But you don't belong to state quota so moderate saught branches may not be available. Go for other NIT also. All the best.

Placement is more than 80% which is very high considering many students don't even go for placements. In mechanical only, 115 out of 150 students got placed from campus. average package varies with the branch. Computer Science has the highest average package, followed by IT and other branches. To sum up, if you are even a little good and you don't take placements so lightly, it is easy to get placed. No of visiting companies is very high. all you need to do is just concentrate during placement season. Study a bit and prepare some strategy to approach a placement and you are good to go.
