Both the colleges that you have mention have a very good reputation academically and also in the placements scenario across Maharashtra. LIT in Nagpur is of course famous for its courses in areas related to chemical engineering while c o e p offers all types of courses. To compare chemical engineering with metallurgical engineering is actually not correct. These are two different types of courses with perhaps different employers at the time of placements. You will have to clear JEE Mains once again and should be in the top two and a half Lacs candidates who clear JEE Mains to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. This is the most fundamental and mundane criteria that I am saying.
