No, Berhampur University does not offer direct admission. Candidates are first required to apply for the course of their choice and then participate in the selection rounds. The university considers CPET score for admission to PG courses. For MPharm, OJEE score is considered for admission. Besides, the selection for MSc Biotechnology is based on GAT-B score. Both the universities have a good reputation in the state. The universities are not ranked by NIRF. However, students can consider other factors, such as course fee, placements, infrastructure and more to make a decision.

In the following table, the fee and median salary offered to the BSc students is mentioned:

University Name

Tuition Fee

Median Package (UG 3-year)

BSc at CUO

INR 4,800 - INR 49,600

INR 1.80 LPA

BSc at Berhampur University

INR 1,400 - INR 1.9 lakh

INR 2.5 LPA

NOTE:

  • The given fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.
  • The mentioned median package is as per the NIRF report. It is of 2022 placements for all the universities.

Considering this data, Berhampur University has more economical fee and placement package.

The central university admits candidates to the UG course based on merit in the CUET exam. Hence, the aspirants are required to register for the national-level exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the CUET applications in February. Further, the application window remains open till April. The mentioned timeline is as per the past years' schedule. Hence, is indicative. Following the announcement of CUET results in and around July, the candidates have to register on the CUO Samarth portal for counselling and seat allotment.
