It depends on the parameters you want to judge the college.
If you want to learn, you may by some of the best teachers in their respective domains. You may also pursue research during B.Tech under different professors who are generally willing and guide you very well. The opportunity offered is not based on your marks, unlike many universities, but on your interest. One of the 6 pointer boy got a chance to present a poster at Mecca of Science in India I.e. IISC, Bangalore (Guess who?). At any time, many projects are going, so you may join as per your interest. For "naukri motivated", KIIT University students bagged 3400 offers from various companies. Even consulting firm Deloitte offered jobs to around 81 candidates which is huge for such company. Around 130 companies came for placements for 2016 passing batch. You must be very dumb if you cannot get placed after the rigorous training for placements, provided by college. All work and no play makes everyone a dull person. After a long day of classes and labs, everyone would like to let loose of themselves. Various societies are there for aspiring singers, dancers, photographers, street actors. Also, there's a cricket ground and ground for various sports around it including running tracks, football. Gym, swimming pools, wooden badminton court and facilities for other indoor games are provided for students. KIIT Fest, is the annual tech and cult fest of university and in year 2015, it was one of trending topic in Facebook feeds. Every Year, the fest is graced by eminent personalities of entertainment industry.
In short, yes, KIIT University is a good college for your career building.

Somehow, it is true. My relatives who got very poor percentages in class 12th (56%-58%), got a very good placement and one of them whom I know is doing a job in a good company (don't know the company names and all that stuff). Every time I hear positive words from my parents in regards to KIIT.
I also got a seat in KIIT University after I participated in the counselling with a rank of 28233. I know it's not a good rank though but I got "Electronics and control system Engineering".
Also, when I was at the counselling session waiting for my seat allotment, some people were saying that southern part is the best place to pursue B.Tech and to get a good placement. Yes, it's true, but IITs and NITs are far better. But, till now I can say that you can get guaranteed placement if you study at KIIT.
And I am happy as I have legally got the branch in KIIT.
