IIT Patna gives MCM scholarships to meritorious and needy students. A UG student or a 2-year MSc programme student can receive the MCM scholarship. For new entrants (BTech/MSc 1st year), their SPI will be the criterion for their merit. The minimum SPI is 6.50 and there is no "F" grade in any of the courses in the first semester. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna admission is completely an online process. For admission to the BTech course, the institute accepts JEE Advanced scores, followed by JoSAA counseling.
